Fanlytech Tech was founded on a simple idea: software should be built by people who actually use it, ship it, and stand behind it after launch.
Fanlytech Tech was founded in 2017 out of frustration with how software agencies usually worked — big proposals, slow timelines, and a finished product that rarely matched what was promised.
We started as a three-person team building websites for local businesses in San Francisco. As those clients grew, so did the complexity of what they needed — booking systems, internal dashboards, mobile apps, e-commerce platforms handling real revenue. We grew with them, and Fanlytech became a full product studio: strategy, design, and engineering under one roof.
Today, Fanlytech Tech is a team of 24 designers, engineers, and strategists who've shipped software for startups, mid-size companies, and established brands across fintech, healthcare, retail, and logistics. What hasn't changed is the way we work — small teams, direct communication, and a refusal to hand a client something we wouldn't use ourselves.
Eric Fanlyt starts Fanlytech Tech out of a shared workspace in San Francisco, building websites for local businesses.
Fanlytech builds a customer portal for a regional healthcare network, marking our move into full application development.
We open a second studio focused on mobile applications and bring on our first dedicated cloud infrastructure engineers.
Fanlytech crosses 120 shipped projects with a 98% client retention rate — most clients return for a second or third build.
A 24-person studio serving clients across the US, still led by the same principle we started with: build it like you'll be the one maintaining it.
Every client gets a plain-language plan before we write a line of code.
We treat every project like it's our own product, not a line item to close out.
Code reviews, QA passes, and accessibility checks on every single build.
Weekly shipped increments — you see real progress, not slide decks.
Eric Fanlyt founded Fanlytech Tech in 2017 after nearly a decade working as a software engineer and technical lead for companies ranging from early-stage startups to enterprise logistics platforms. Before starting Fanlytech, Eric led engineering teams responsible for shipping customer-facing products used by millions of people, and saw firsthand how often good ideas were let down by rushed, poorly maintained software.
That experience shaped how Fanlytech operates today. Eric still reviews the architecture of every major project the studio takes on, and he's built the company around a small set of senior engineers rather than a large bench of junior developers — a deliberate choice to keep quality high as the company has grown.
Eric holds a degree in Computer Science and has spent his career focused on one problem: how to help growing companies build software that doesn't fall apart under real-world use. Outside of Fanlytech, he mentors early-career engineers and regularly speaks at regional tech meetups about product engineering and startup growth.
Eric leads a small, senior team spanning design, engineering, and delivery.
